Maldini skips Portsmouth trip

Paolo Maldini and Marek Jankulovski will not make the UEFA Cup trip to Portsmouth, but Kaka could well feature.

The two defenders have not been named in the squad travelling to Fratton Park on Thursday due to minor fitness concerns.

Marco Borriello also misses out, as he continues the recovery process from s muscular strain, but Massimo Ambrosini and Philippe Senderos do return.

Kaka was likely to be rested for this match, but he could well feature because he will not be able to take to the field at the weekend.

A booking picked up in the final minute of the 2-2 draw at Torino means the reigning European and World Player of the Year will be suspended.

He'll miss the Serie A encounter with Palermo and therefore could be given the chance to enjoy the Portsmouth atmosphere.
