New Milan Defender Thiago Silva Pleased With Performance
Thiago Silva was pleased with his debut for Milan and cannot wait until he can officially play for the Rossoneri...
Thiago Silva made his debut for AC Milan on Wednesday in a friendly with Hannover 96 that the Rossoneri won by a 3-2 scoreline, with goals from Filippo Inzaghi and Andriy Shevchenko.
The defender seemed to fit in well with his new squad. However, he cannot play in an official match for coach Carlo Ancelotti until July, as the club had already signed the limit of two non-EU nationals this season.
"I did well, as I expected. It is a pleasure to wear this shirt," he was quoted as saying by Milan's official website.
"It is clear that I still have plenty of work to do. It will not be easy having to wait to play my first match, but I have the opportunity to train and put in the same effort as my teammates who are playing. Tonight, I felt good."
The 24-year-old defender arrived in a €10 million deal from Brazilian club Fluminese.
