Calcio Debate: Serie A Goal Of The Week

It was another exciting week of Serie A action, as Inter saw their lead at the top of Serie A cut to three points as they were thrashed 3-1 at Atalanta, while Juventus drew at Lazio. Third placed Milan closed to within six points of the Nerazzurri, by beating Fiorentina 1-0, while Genoa moved into fourth with another win at Lecce. Napoli lost at Chievo, while Roma secured a last-minute triumph at Torino.

This week there are five choices for Goal of the Week:

Goal 1: Sergio Floccari Atalanta v Inter

The 27-year-old has a habit of scoring fine goals against Inter, and he does it again with a delightful turn and finish inside the area.

Goal 2: Alexandre PatoMilan v Fiorentina

The teenage wonderkid is on fire at the moment, and he scores yet again against Fiorentina, finishing clinically.

Goal 3: Ezequiel Lavezzi – Chievo v Napoli

Napoli’s miserable away form continued at Chievo, but at least Lavezzi gave the travelling fans something to cheer about.

Goal 4: Julio Baptista – Torino v Roma

A contender for Goal of the Season. I needn’t say more – just watch the clip.

Goal 5: Bosko Jankovic – Lecce v Genoa

On most weeks, this would have won Goal of the Week – an outrageous backheeled flick by the in-form Genoa man.

Goal.com Verdict

Serie A Goal of the Week: Julio Baptista – Torino v Roma (Goal 4)
