Aston Villa's Ashley Young continued his stunning start to the season with a goal against Sunderland this afternoon, in a game which his side won 2-1.
According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, Milan head coach Carlo Ancelotti has identified Aston Villa's Ashley Young as a top target should he become Chelsea manager at the end of the season.

Rumours are abound that the Italian tactician will be Guus Hiddink’s successor at Stamford Bridge, with reports in Italy suggesting that he could confirm as much this weekend.

It is claimed that if Ancelotti becomes Blues boss, he would like to add more width and pace to the squad, which is why he is looking at Young.

Apparently, Chelsea's billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich, has promised the former two-time Serie A Coach of the Year as much as £30 million for a marquee signing.

The Villans paid Watford £9.75m to land four-time capped England international Young in 2007. It is thought that he will now command at least double that fee.

However, should the west London outfit fail to land the 23-year-old, Russia international Yuri Zhirkov has been recommended by interim manager Guus Hiddink, while Ancelotti is also said to have his eye on Genoa forward Diego Milito.

Meanwhile, Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou could be on their way out of Chelsea this summer in order to raise funds and make room for fresh faces.
