Poll Results: Juventus For The Scudetto

Yesterday we asked the readers who would prevail in what is turning out to be a closer-than-expected race for the Scudetto.

Bookies' favourites Inter remain out in front, but Milan aren't yet out of the reckoning, Juventus are putting in a challenge, and even the likes of Napoli and Fiorentina are in with a chance.

But who will win? Here's what the Goal.com Poll voters had to say on the matter:

Juventus: 45.54%
Milan: 25.74%
Inter: 25.74%
Other: 2.97%

Yes, amazingly enough Inter only finished joint second in our poll, along with a Rossoneri side who are nine points behind at the moment.

But out in the lead was Juventus, who commanded almost one in every two votes.

We also took this issue to the Goal.com Italian Football Forums.

User 'visca_el_barca' offered an outsider's perspective:

"Inter, Juventus, Milan, in that order. Is there anyone who's not a Milan fan that thinks Milan will win it this season? I just can't see it happening this season, especially with Mourinho in charge of Inter."

But Milan stalwart 'giancarlo' said:

"We're not going to let ourselves fall, especially if we get the defenders we want in January. 1 - Milan, 2 - Juve, 3 - Inter. I think Inter will slip up during the 2nd half of the season, and Milan usually historically steps it up. The fact we are third and not 8th like last season, is important."

Meanwhile user '7amood11' optimistically said the following:

"1 - Juve, 2 - Inter, 3 - Milan... and Juve for the Champions League this season!"
