Taddei Compliments Beckham And Pato

Brazilian teenager Pato and Montenegro forward Mirko Vucinic stole the limelight as David Beckham made his Serie A debut in Milan's 2-2 draw at Roma's Stadio Olimpico last night.

Pato scored an early second half brace following Vucinic's first half opener for the hosts but the Montenegrin had the last word with a timely equaliser to deny Beckham a winning start to life in Italy.


Milan stay third, nine points off top, while Roma remain in the bottom half of the table.

After the game Roma's Taddei commented on two of Milan's best players on the pitch last night. “David [Beckham] is a great champion and he has nothing to prove,” revealed the skillful Roma ace.

Taddei then had kind words for young Milan striker Pato saying, “The Brazilian [Pato] is a fantastic player. He would be important for any team he played in.”
