Boban to Kaka
Sky Italia pundit Boban believes the Rossoneri should have quickly turned down the Citizens’ offer but admits he didn’t know Kakà was so interested in money…
But former Diavoli midfielder Zvonimir Boban feels his departure would be detrimental to the seven-time European Champions.
“We will never know for sure who was left more charmed by this mega-offer; was it Kakà or the club?” Boban questioned on Sky Sport.
“Either way, I reckon this would be a major step backwards for Milan in world football. It is great disappointment, as money will always win.”
It is alleged that Manchester City are prepared to offer the Brazilian attacking midfielder a bumper deal worth €15m per season.
“It was a fantastic tale, but it all fell through and that is not nice,” continued the Croat. “I hoped Milan would have rejected the offer just like Manchester United did for Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Where are they going to discover a new Kakà now? However, I think that money is everything for him. He was never firm on his decision to remain at Milan: if you don’t want to leave, no one will force you!”
