Galliani Opens Milan Door For Gourcuff

The Diavoli general manager has declared that the French starlet will return to San Siro if Bordeaux will not meet their economic demands next summer.

Milan loaned out French attacking midfielder Yoann Gourcuff to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux over the summer, as the 22-year-old wanted more playing time after two frustrating seasons in Lombardy.

'Le Petit Zidane' landed in Italy’s fashion capital in 2006 when the Rossoneri paid €3 million to secure his services from Rennes, but he never gained the trust of coach Carlo Ancelotti and opted to go back to his homeland last June.

Bordeaux currently sit in second place in the French League, one point adrift of leaders Lyon, and Gourcuff has been outstanding so far, prompting speculation that Milan will bring him back next summer.

“He will play for either Milan or Bordeaux next term, but will not be joining other clubs,” Adriano Galliani told L’Equipe. “If Bordeaux will not take up their option and pay a fee of €15 million, Yoann will return to Milan and it won’t happen again that he will go out on loan.

“He is an excellent player and will surely find more space at Milan in the future.”
