Kaka's Family Pushing Him Towards Manchester City - Report

Kaka is being pushed to City by his own family, triggering suggestions that money is the motive behind it.

Kaka's father Bosco is expected to land in Milan later this afternoon in order to push his son towards Manchester City as the move begins to gather momentum.

Bosco, who also acts as the player's agent, will have a long talk with Kaka to discuss plans for a move to Manchester City and help push the deal through.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims the agent has already asked Milan for Kaka's wages to be increased if the club want him to stay. Such a demand seems unlikely to be fulfilled as the player is already earning €9 million per season after tax; City are reputedly offering around €15m per year. Bosco is pressing ahead for his son to sign for the English side and it seems as if money is the only reason behind his wishes.

The Rossoneri have not responded to the wage increase demand from the agent just yet but, if the answer from the club is a 'no', then Kaka is likely to be pushed by his own father to leave Milan and sign for City.

It is believed the Italians will refuse the increase after president Silvio Berlusconi revealed he wanted to balance the club's wage sheet on Saturday, triggering suggestions that he is not prepared to offer the Brazilian a higher wage.

Kaka is the highest paid player at Milan while Ronaldinho, who earns around €4m per season, is second. The club are afraid other players may begin to ask for increases and this will cause instability.

There was talk about Real Madrid making a last-minute offer but the very latest reports suggest that was just paper talk as the Spanish giants have not come forward yet.
