Los Angeles Galaxy: Milan Need To Speed Up If They Want Beckham
The Americans are unhappy with Milan's relaxed attitude towards Beckham and they have told the Italians to step on the gas...
Milan are being pressed by Los Angeles Galaxy to step up their offer for David Beckham before time runs out. The Americans have warned the Italians to move faster with their bids if they wish to keep the Englishman.
The Rossoneri had an initial bid rejected by the MLS side on Saturday as it was not considered sufficiently large enough to secure the midfielder on a permanent basis. It is believed Milan offered €6.75 million, however, the Galaxy want at least double that amount.
Il Diavolo's vice-president Adriano Galliani said there was “still time to negotiate” on Saturday night, but the Americans are keen to press negotiations on.
"It is up to AC Milan as to when there will be any new talks. But both parties know that we are not prepared to wait until March 8 or 9 to resolve this," said Michael Roth, spokesman for AEG, who own the Galaxy, to the Daily Mail.
"We need to [resolve this deal] before those dates, although we are not prepared to make public the deadline."
Beckham wants to stay at Milan and the Italian club share his wish, however, they will need to satisfy demands coming from Los Angeles if the deal is to enjoy a successful outcome.
