Marco Storari To Sign For Chelsea Today – Reports

The Milan-owned shot-stopper is set to complete his switch from Fiorentina to Chelsea...

Fiorentina goalkeeper Marco Storari is expected to complete his move to Chelsea later today and become Petr Cech's number two.

The Italian, who is owned by Milan, will put pen to paper later after being picked out by Luis Felipe Scolari as Carlo Cudicini's replacement.

Il Corriere Dello Sport
claims the deal is on the verge of being completed.

The 32-year-old has spent the last few seasons on loan with Levante and Cagliari and he joined the Viola in the summer.

Storari's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, has confirmed his client will join Stamford Bridge-based club, but he insists the move has nothing to do with Branislav Ivanovic heading the other way.

"There is still nothing official, but we are waiting for a confirmation," Vigorelli told the Daily Mirror.

"Storari's move is not involved with Ivanovic."

The goalkeeper will have to fight hard for his place in the side as he faces stiff competition from Cech and Hilario.

The very latest reports suggest the clubs will announce the move later this afternoon.
